10,000 Tree Project – Brimbank City Council

Urban Treescapes has recently been working with the Brimbank City Council on their 10,000 Tree Project 2015. Our staff have engaged in preparing the soil for planting areas, planting tubestock, watering and mulching across the various planting locations within the municipality. These densely populated native tree plantings will, in time, serve to provide a variety of environmental functions, such as, acting as a sound barrier for the Western Ring Road, providing shade in parklands and as windbreaks within open space areas. These functional applications along with the climate cooling effects, wildlife habitats and enhanced appeal of the open spaces within the community are all positive outcomes for those living in the Brimbank municipality.
